Born and raised in the Northwest, Aunt Patty first launched her brand with unsulphured molasses in 1983. The foundation of Aunt Patty's products lies in the Northwest culture and in the philosophy of Pat Turanski. As a homemaker Pat experimented with substituting natural sweeteners for refined white sugar because of the healthier attributes. The foundation is based on two key components, "natural" and "quality". The name was successful and so the vision has expanded to include other "alternative" natural sweeteners in the Aunt Patty's line of products. These key components drive the Aunt Patty's name and thus "natural" has driven us to add "certified organic" and the "quality" has led us to invest in quality assurances for the integrity of the product and the safety of the consumer.
Aunt Patty believes that natural ingredients should taste good, so she works on recipes that have superior taste using natural and organic ingredients. As part of our mission we believe in educating consumers about the healthful benefits of using healthy and natural ingredients in your food without sacrificing flavor. Today people are looking for new alternatives for baking that are much healthier for their bodies and Aunt Patty's products deliver a wide range of options and unique flavors that enhance almost any recipe. All of the Aunt Patty's products are processed in-house at our Eugene facility with a careful eye to quality and purity of the products.
